Common questions
What are the scientific miracles of the Quran?
The term refers to verses of the Quran that describe natural phenomena in ways consistent with discoveries made centuries later. Examples include the expanding universe (51:47), the barrier between seas (55:19–20), stages of embryonic development (23:12–14) and the water cycle (39:21). Muslims often call them signs (āyāt) rather than miracles.
Is the Quran a science book?
No. The Quran describes itself as guidance for humanity. It mentions natural phenomena as signs pointing to Allah, using language its first audience could understand, while remaining consistent with later discoveries.
Which translation of the Quran does this site use?
We quote the Saheeh International English translation exactly as published on Quran.com, alongside the original Arabic Uthmani text. Bracketed words are the translators' clarifications.
How do you make sure the verses are quoted correctly?
Every verse is retrieved from the Quran.com API, not typed by hand, and is automatically compared letter by letter with a second independent source (AlQuran.cloud/Tanzil). Each verse also links to Quran.com for independent checking.
Are all claimed scientific miracles valid?
No. Some popular claims are myths, mistranslations or numerology. We list these openly on our Myths & Weak Claims page and rate each topic as Strong, Moderate or Interpretive.
